Costa Rica Vegan Adventure: Feb 4th to 11th, 2025 (Sold Out)
A 7-night adventure in collaboration with Lands in Love Vegan Hotel and Mic the Vegan. The adventure includes vegan meals from pickup to drop-off, ground transport, and various activities such as a ziplining, snorkeling, visiting a volcano, nature tours, and more.
Trip Status: 🟢– Trip minimum has been met and is officially confirmed!

– Pickup will be from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, Costa Rica. Flight is not included in the trip cost.
– A portion of proceeds to the hotel are donated to an animal sanctuary.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Feb 4th
Overview: Half day with pickup by guide/driver from SJO airport, say hello, drive to hotel, eat included dinner meal. Chill.
Airport Pickup:
The airport ride will be from the arrivals section of SJO airport in San Jose. The ride will be approximately 2.5 hours to the hotel and will accommodate your arrival times.

Dinner:
Dinner is at the hotel restaurant or includes boxed vegan meal at pickup if your flight is later than dinner.

Day 2 – Feb 5th
Overview: Go canyoning and then volunteer at the animal sanctuary like a real vegan.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner:
All meals are included by the hotel restaurant.
Activities:
Canyoning: Enjoy the experience of Canyoning at cloud forest reserve (~2.5 hours).
An easy hike of 10 minutes will lead to the starting point where your guide will brief you on equipment and safety procedures- you will then zip line to the first platform and rappel 6 meters into the canyon. After a 50 m walk, you will cross a suspended bridge. Followed by a 51-meter rappel into the falls, then another three at altitudes of 10, 14, and 18 meters. The tour continues to the “Super Tarzan Swing”. A tractor-drawn wagon will take you back to the starting point.
Sanctuary: During the day you’ll volunteer at the Animal Love Rescue Center and support 1,400 animals by helping the team of the shelter to walk, clean, and most important to give love to the animals.

Day 3 – Feb 6th
Overview: Go rafting, get splashed, and then have a nice chill night tour.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner:
All meals are included by the hotel restaurant. Dinner is at Paradise Hot Springs.
Activities:
Rafting: Epic rafting journey approximately 15 minutes from Lands in Love Hotel with the added bonus of wildlife sightings along the water.
Night Tour: At night, walk in the cloud forest area of the hotel, and see birds, trees, flowers, orchids and other kinds of animals while getting explanations from your guide about these and enjoy the beautiful view of waterfalls and the river.

Day 4 – Feb 7th
Overview: Visit Arenal Lake and Paradise Hot Springs
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner:

Activities:
After breakfast, the tour starts in a 3 km hiking trip through the tropical humid forest. Pass 15 bridges from five to 100 meters long and up to 60 meters high. Witness the spectacular scenery of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects. Take a tour to the volcano by hiking through the forest, plants, wildlife and around Arenal Lake. At the end of the day, enjoy the thermal water of Paradise Hot Springs for a few hours and have dinner there.

Day 5 – Feb 8th
Overview: Exploring the rainforest canopy with ziplining and short hikes (~4 hours).

Activities:
Jungle Canopy Tour: Today is the combo canopy tour where you will experience the cloud forest which is full of colorful diversity, huge trees, vegetation, wildlife, birds and more. There are 500 acres of forest with amazing views from the cables and platforms, various trails, and the Tarzan Swing at a height of 845m.
Adventure cables consists of three long cables for extreme experience, longest cable between steel towers, high velocity of 50 mph (80 km/h), 150m above the hidden valley on superman style.

Day 6 – Feb 9th
Overview: Crocodile Tour and Head to Manuel Antonio National Park.

Activities:
Today depart to the central pacific coast, where Manuel Antonio is located. It is one of the most luxuriant locations in Costa Rica, with spectacular white-grey sandy beaches fringed by thickly forested green hills. On the way, crocodile’s adventure takes place on the Tárcoles River, one of four rivers flowing out into the Nicoya Peninsula, and home to one of the world’s largest crocodile populations in the wild with individuals up to fifteen feet long. In addition to them, over fifty different kinds of birds can be seen on site, including the very rare scarlet macaw and a great variety of resident and migrant waterfowl. Iguanas and Jesus Cristo lizards are very common as well.

Day 7 – Feb 10th
Overview: Manuel Antonio National Park visit.

Activities:
After breakfast, Manuel Antonio National Park which preserves beautiful beaches, the unique formation of the Punta Cathedral, mangroves, a set of offshore islands and a humid tropical forest. The park has four beaches, each with its special characteristics. Our guide will take you through the park to see numerous species of butterflies, monkeys, raccoons, coatis, agoutis, two-toed sloths, snakes, orchids, etc.
At noon, your ‘Catamaran Island Adventure’ begins at Quepos harbor. You will head toward the horizon, cruising through the aquamarine waters toward the spectacular and scenic coastline of Manuel Antonio Park. Soon you will be in open water and on the lookout for spotted dolphins, migrating humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. You will be captivated by the sight of dolphins frolicking in the boat’s wake, or the inimitable sound of a whale’s song. As you make our way down the coastline of the park, the mysterious islands, jagged cliffs and unique rock formations will look almost close enough to reach out and touch. These are the nesting grounds and home for numerous species of marine birds, including pelicans, boobies and ibises. After touring the coastline, you will anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for snorkeling.

Day 8 – Feb 11th
Overview: Head back to the airport…waaah
